It's a documentation page masquerading as a training module. Read it if you're stuck on this specific protocol, but don't expect to learn how to build anything.

Who it's for
Makers already deep inside the Microsoft ecosystem who need the official A2A docs.
Who should skip it
Anyone looking for a practical tutorial or trying to learn agent concepts from scratch.
Pros
Free and quick to complete.
Explains the specific Microsoft A2A protocol.
Uses recent screenshots from Copilot Studio.
Cons
Purely a documentation read-through, not a hands-on lab.
Requires access to multiple agent platforms to actually test.
Assumes deep familiarity with Copilot Studio's interface.
The 'Knowledge Check' is trivial.
The 'Knowledge Check' quiz has three multiple-choice questions you can pass just by reading the question titles. That pretty much sums this up. It's not training; it's a slightly more verbose version of a documentation page.
I was hoping for a lab, even a sandboxed one, where you could actually connect a toy agent. Nope. The entire thing is a series of screenshots and text blocks explaining what the Agent2Agent protocol is and where to click in the Copilot Studio UI. There are no files to download, no environment to set up, nothing to build. You just read. The module shows you how to get an agent's ID and configure the connection, but to actually do it, you'd need another A2A-enabled agent on a different platform ready to go. Who has that just lying around?
The whole premise feels backwards for a self-learner. It's designed for someone already working inside a company that uses multiple, separate agent systems and now needs to make them talk via this specific Microsoft protocol. It’s not for learning about agent architectures in general. Being free, I didn't lose money, but I did lose 35 minutes I could have spent watching a conference talk that actually showed code. Skip this unless your boss literally tells you to integrate two existing corporate bots using A2A.
