Reviewer's verdict

This is a documentation tour, not a course. It's a quick way for an Azure admin to learn the names of the security knobs for AI services, but you won't build or secure anything yourself.

Best for

Azure admins who need to map AI security concepts to Azure product names.

Watch for

No hands-on labs or sandboxes; it's all reading.

Who it's for

Azure admins who need to map AI security concepts to Azure product names.

Who should skip it

Anyone looking for hands-on labs or a general introduction to AI security principles.

Pros

  • Up-to-date with current Azure AI services.
  • Maps concepts directly to specific Azure products (e.g., Azure OpenAI, AML).
  • Well-structured path for a conceptual overview.

Cons

  • No hands-on labs or sandboxes; it's all reading.
  • Assumes deep familiarity with Azure administration.
  • More of a product tour for existing Azure pros than a skills-building course.

The first module's link to Foundry Hubs sent me down a rabbit hole. It goes to a generic Microsoft partner page, and I spent twenty minutes trying to figure out if it was a real service or just marketing-speak. It's a concept. That set the tone for the rest of the path. It’s a tour of Azure AI security features—managed identities, content filters, network isolation—but without any sandbox to actually click the buttons. You just read about them. I got through it, but I don't feel like I learned how to do anything, just what Microsoft calls their tools. I was hoping for at least a small demo environment to configure a content filter or a VNet rule. Without that, it’s just glorified documentation. At least now I know what an 'AI-ready infrastructure' means in Azure terms.
