Reviewer's verdict

It's a quick product tour, not a practical skilling module. Skim it for screenshots of the latest Purview features, but don't expect to learn how to actually investigate anything.

Who it's for

Administrators needing a quick overview of Purview DSPM's interface and Copilot integration.

Who should skip it

Anyone looking for hands-on practice, technical depth, or an actual sandbox environment.

Pros

  • Quick, high-level tour of the DSPM dashboard.
  • Shows what the Security Copilot integration is supposed to do.
  • Up-to-date screenshots.

Cons

  • No hands-on lab or interactive components.
  • Feels more like a product page than a training module.
  • The 'Investigate' part is just reading about investigating.

Investigating risky AI agent behavior turned out to be just four paragraphs of text and a screenshot. There’s no data, no logs, no environment to click through. You just read about what an admin would theoretically see in the Purview portal. The whole module is a series of static pictures of the UI with descriptions of what each button does. I get that it’s a quick introduction, but calling it 'investigating risks' is a stretch. It's more like 'looking at pictures of a tool used for investigating risks'. I clicked through hoping for at least a simulated investigation, but it never came. The Security Copilot part was interesting to see, but again, it’s just a summary of what it can do, not a demonstration. I finished in about 20 minutes feeling like I'd just read a long advertisement.
