Who it's for
Auditors or compliance managers needing an overview of Microsoft Purview's AI features.
Who should skip it
Students looking for hands-on experience or a technical understanding of AI security.
Pros
Quick to complete.
A decent glossary of Purview features for securing AI.
Covers compliance aspects like data retention for Copilot.
Cons
No hands-on labs or interactive elements.
Feels like reading a product brochure, not a training module.
Very high-level, lacks technical depth.
Assessing AI risks with Purview is one dashboard image. That’s it. That’s it. No sandbox, no sample data, not even a simulated click-through of the Purview portal. The whole thing is just a series of text walls and stock photos. It feels like training designed to get you ready for a sales call, not an exam or a real-world task. The quiz just asks you to recall which product name does what: Information Protection, Data Loss Prevention, Communication Compliance. I could have learned this from a marketing one-pager. Yes, it’s free, but so are the official docs, which are probably more detailed. I’m glad I didn’t pay for this.
