A useful 40-minute product brief for an existing Purview admin, but not a general AI security course for a student or developer.

Who it's for
IT admins already managing a Microsoft 365 environment.
Who should skip it
Students or developers looking for general AI security principles.
Pros
Free and quick to complete.
Clear diagram mapping Purview features to different AI agent types.
Good, up-to-date overview of a specific Microsoft product.
Cons
No hands-on labs or interactive elements; it's a slide deck in webpage form.
Very vendor-specific; concepts don't easily transfer outside the Microsoft ecosystem.
Feels like a sales pitch for Microsoft Purview.
That one diagram mapping Purview capabilities to different AI agent types is probably the only useful slide in this 40-minute deck. Everything else is just a list of Microsoft features with AI-related names attached. No labs, no sandboxes, not even a knowledge check that isn't just repeating a sentence from the previous paragraph.
I get that it's free. But this isn't a course; it's an extended feature list. It tells you Purview can do things like 'configure data protection' and 'detect risks,' but never shows you how, where you click, or what the code would look like. I was hoping for some general principles on securing agents, but it's 100% about navigating the Microsoft compliance product suite. I don't have a corporate environment to apply this to, so it was mostly abstract marketing. Should have done a proper security cert path instead.
