A useful, hands-on demo of Copilot's new agent features. It's more of a guided practice session than a deep-dive course, but it's effective for getting a feel for the workflow.

Who it's for
Developers already using Copilot who want to practice the new agent workflows.
Who should skip it
Absolute beginners, or anyone looking for a conceptual AI course.
Pros
Extremely practical, zero theory fluff.
The sandbox environment is pre-configured and works.
Heavy reliance on copy-pasting prompts from the instructions.
Doesn't teach you *how* to write good prompts, just *what* to paste.
Feels more like a product demo than a course at times.
The local dev container spun up without a hitch. That alone is better than half the tutorials out there. This whole path is basically a series of instructions on one side of the screen and a VS Code instance on the other. You copy-paste prompts. You watch the agent refactor code. It's clean.
The exercises are solid, real-world stuff. Taking a god-awful `UpdateQuality` function and asking the agent to break it down. Finding and fixing a secret someone checked into a repo. It’s what you actually do. What I’m not so sure about is how much I actually *learned*. It’s a guided tour. You follow the prompts given, and of course it works. The real test is when I have a mess of my own making and the prompts aren't written down for me. The course doesn't teach you the art of writing a good agent prompt, it just gives you the fish.
I guess I’m just allergic to the “magic” part. The agent would find and fix things, and the instructions just say “See? Magic!” I want to know the failure modes. What happens when it hallucinates a fix? How do you correct it? The training doesn't go there. It’s all success path. For a free, eight-hour path, it's a very efficient way to see the new tools in action. I'm just not sold it's made me a better engineer yet, just a faster one on a good day.
