Reviewer's verdict

It’s a 30-minute product tour, not a training module. Use it to quickly understand what the management settings *are*, but don't expect to learn how to *do* anything.

Best for

Functional consultants or admins needing a quick overview of Copilot management toggles.

Watch for

No hands-on practice; it's just reading and looking at screenshots.

Who it's for

Functional consultants or admins needing a quick overview of Copilot management toggles.

Who should skip it

Anyone looking for hands-on labs or technical implementation details.

Pros

  • Quick, free introduction to Copilot's admin-side features.
  • Clearly explains the difference between the consumer and Microsoft 365 versions.
  • Good for understanding the data protection model at a high level.

Cons

  • No hands-on practice; it's just reading and looking at screenshots.
  • The content is a glorified product page or documentation summary.
  • The 'Knowledge Check' is extremely basic and doesn't test real understanding.

It's just a series of screenshots from the Microsoft 365 admin center. You read about a setting, look at a picture of the toggle, and then click next. No sandbox, no lab, nothing to actually configure. The only truly useful part was the unit comparing the free Copilot with the M365 version, which cleared up some naming confusion. Everything else felt like I was just reading documentation, but with bigger fonts. I know it’s free, but calling this 'training' is a huge stretch. It’s an interactive datasheet. At least it was short. This is a product overview for managers, not a skills course for admins who actually need to implement this stuff.
