Reviewer's verdict

A fast, free product tour of Foundry's governance features, but the hands-on exercise is just a simulation. Use it to understand the concepts, not to build skills.

Who it's for

Administrators needing a quick overview of Foundry governance tools.

Who should skip it

Developers or anyone needing deep hands-on practice.

Pros

  • Quick, free introduction to Foundry concepts.
  • Covers key governance areas like IAM and policy.
  • Recently updated content.

Cons

  • Exercise is a simulated lab, not a real sandbox.
  • More of a product tour than a skills-building course.
  • Too high-level for practical implementation.

The 'hands-on exercise' was a letdown. It’s just a click-through simulation on a static screenshot of the Foundry UI. It's free and takes under an hour, so it's okay for getting the vocabulary down. I guess the upside is not needing an actual Azure subscription or credits. But you don't actually build or configure anything yourself. It’s a product tour, not a lab.
