It’s a long, interactive brochure for Microsoft Foundry disguised as a training path. Read it to learn the vocabulary for your next meeting with an Azure sales rep, but don't expect to build anything.

Azure administrators trying to map governance buzzwords to specific Azure services.
Zero hands-on labs; it's a pure reading exercise.
Azure administrators trying to map governance buzzwords to specific Azure services.
Developers who want hands-on labs or need to build a governance framework from scratch.
They call it 'governing AI-ready infrastructure.' I call it a six-hour marketing deck for something named Microsoft Foundry. I spent a Saturday afternoon clicking through this, hoping to find the part where I actually build or configure something. Spoiler: that part never comes. It's all text. You read about policies. You read about cost management. You read about what Foundry can do for you. No labs, no sandboxes, not even a PowerShell script to copy and paste.
It feels like a document that was supposed to be an internal sales brief, then someone sliced it into 'modules,' added some multiple-choice questions, and called it a learning path. The questions are just memory tests on the preceding paragraphs. What does this service do? Which pillar handles that? I passed them all without thinking.
Look, I get it. Governance is important. And knowing how Azure maps concepts like 'model behavior regulation' to specific products like Azure Policy or Cost Management is useful. It gives you the vocabulary. But this isn't training. It's a product tour. I walked away knowing what Microsoft *wants* me to use, but with zero practical experience in using it. I still can't actually 'govern' anything. I can just talk about it better in a meeting.
