Pros

  • Quick overview of the different Copilot plans.
  • Explains the basic features like code completion and chat.
  • Covers policy management for enterprise users.

Cons

  • No hands-on exercises or sandboxes.
  • Reads like a sales brochure or product manual.
  • Doesn't teach you how to write better prompts.
  • Very little content that isn't in the official docs.

That $10/month charge for my Copilot subscription hit my credit card, so I figured I’d see what Microsoft’s official take on it was. The only useful part here was the section comparing GitHub Copilot plans, which laid out the Business vs. Enterprise features—helpful if you're making a purchasing decision. Everything else is just a long-form ad for a tool I already use daily.

There are no exercises. You just read about code completion and chat. It's like reading the back of a cereal box. It doesn't teach you how to write a good prompt, how to get it to refactor tricky code, or how to spot its subtle bugs. The whole module feels like a marketing intern turned the product page into a 'learning path'. It’s just a manual. If you've used Copilot for more than a week, skip this.
