It's a free glossary. Use it to decide if you want to learn ML, then immediately move on to a course with actual code.

Who it's for
Absolute beginners needing a high-level overview before committing to a real course.
Who should skip it
Anyone who has ever written a line of Python or watched a single YouTube video on ML.
Pros
Completely free, no strings attached.
Extremely short and easy to complete in one sitting.
Gives you the standard vocabulary (regression, classification, clustering).
Cons
Zero hands-on coding or practical application.
Feels like reading a textbook chapter, not a course.
Knowledge check questions are just direct recall from the text.
Doesn't connect to Azure ML in a meaningful way.
The regression unit just gives you a textbook definition and a stock photo of a house price chart. No data, no code, no `sklearn`. That’s the entire experience here. It’s a series of web pages explaining terms like regression, classification, and clustering at the highest possible level. You read a paragraph, then answer a multiple-choice question that asks you to recall that paragraph. There is no 'doing' involved.
I was hoping this would be a gentle on-ramp to the bigger Azure ML learning paths, maybe with a tiny bit of pre-configured lab work to get a feel for the platform. It's not. The module barely mentions Azure Machine Learning, which is strange given it’s a Microsoft product. It feels completely disconnected from any practical skill. You won't build anything. You won't even see a code snippet. It’s just a vocabulary list.
Is it worth the time? Only if your time is worth very little. It’s free, which is its only real virtue. If you are starting from absolute zero and don't even know what the words 'supervised learning' mean, this 90-minute read will give you the glossary. But you could get the same (or better) from a 10-minute YouTube video. Don't mistake this for a course. It's the preface to a textbook someone forgot to write.
