Reviewer's verdict

It’s a product tour, not a course. Fine for a 30-minute overview if you have zero context, but don't expect to learn how to do anything.

Who it's for

Absolute beginners needing a quick overview of what the buttons in Copilot Chat do.

Who should skip it

Anyone looking for hands-on exercises or technical details.

Pros

  • Extremely fast to complete.
  • Covers all the main prebuilt agents in Copilot Chat.
  • Good for a quick, high-level vocabulary refresh.

Cons

  • The 'exercises' are just text descriptions, not actual interactive labs.
  • Content is superficial and feels like a product brochure.
  • No real skills are taught; it's just a feature tour.

The Analyst Agent exercise was just screenshots and text. I expected a sandbox to try it out, but you don't get to actually use the Analyst or Researcher agents. It’s just a description of what you *would* do if you had access to Copilot, followed by a knowledge check asking if you remember the agent's name. This is more like reading a sales deck than a training module. I finished it in under 30 minutes, mostly by skimming.

It gives you the vocabulary for what Microsoft calls its agents—Analyst, Researcher, Prompt Coach. But there's no depth. I was hoping for at least a simulated environment where I could see how they respond to different prompts. Instead, it feels like a really long advertisement. It's no substitute for actually using the tool or even watching a good YouTube tutorial showing it in action.
