A quick, skimmable guide that's more of a feature tour for Copilot than a real lesson in profile optimization. It points you to the right boxes on LinkedIn, but the AI prompts it suggests are too generic to be truly useful.

Who it's for
Absolute beginners to LinkedIn who have Copilot access and want a guided tour of very basic profile updates.
Who should skip it
Anyone with an existing LinkedIn profile or experience using any AI chatbot for text generation.
Pros
Walks through specific profile sections (headline, summary, experience).
Connects Copilot prompting to a concrete, common task.
Very low time commitment.
Cons
Most prompts are extremely generic ('write a summary for a student...').
No real hands-on exercises, just text and screenshots.
Advice is superficial and doesn't go beyond common knowledge.
The prompts are just screenshots of asking Copilot to “write a headline for a student interested in AI.” Then it tells you to copy and paste that into LinkedIn. I was hoping for something more, like how to iterate on the output or blend different suggestions. Instead, it’s just a demo of copy-pasting.
It feels written for someone who has never seen LinkedIn or a chatbot before. The advice is stuff you'd find in any blog post from five years ago: use a professional photo, describe your experience. The interview prep section was similar—a list of common questions with generic advice. It’s a fast click-through to get the badge, but I didn't get any new strategies. I probably learned more from 15 minutes of just messing with Copilot on my own.
