Pros
Quick overview of marketing prompts in the M365 ecosystem
No setup required
Gives a concrete feel for what the tool is meant to do
Cons
Not real hands-on work; it's a guided tour
Exercises use pre-canned text and prompts
Teaches UI clicks, not marketing principles
The 'Transform Research' exercise isn't an exercise. You just copy-paste pre-written prompts like 'Summarize key insights about Gen Z's coffee preferences' into a simulated Copilot window, and the UI shows you what Copilot would output. I clicked through the entire module in maybe 45 minutes.
It feels like watching a YouTube tutorial, but with extra clicking. You don't bring your own data, you don't write your own prompts, and there's no way to fail or experiment. The Loop and Word sections are the same: here’s a button, click it, see what happens. It does a decent job of showing the intended marketing workflow inside Microsoft's ecosystem, but I didn't learn anything I couldn't have gotten from a five-minute product video. This is more of an interactive brochure than a class.
