Reviewer's verdict

A skippable product tour that reads like a user manual. It's for people whose company just rolled out the new Outlook and they've never seen an email client before.

Who it's for

New corporate users forced to migrate to the new Outlook.

Who should skip it

Anyone who has used Outlook or any modern email client before.

Pros

  • Quick overview of the UI changes in the new Outlook client.
  • Covers the absolute basics of email, calendar, and contacts.
  • Mentions Copilot features, if you have that license.

Cons

  • Extremely basic; more of a product manual than a course.
  • No hands-on labs, just text and screenshots.
  • Doesn't go into power user features, automation, or integrations.

Our IT department sent this link around ahead of the mandatory migration. It's not a course. It's a user manual for the new web-based Outlook, broken into modules. You click, read some text, and see a screenshot of the 'new' button to pin emails. Groundbreaking.

I skimmed it in maybe 45 minutes while waiting for a build to finish. The module on Copilot was the only reason I didn't close the tab immediately. But it just tells you what the buttons do, not how to chain them into an actual workflow that saves time. It shows you 'Summarize by Copilot' exists. Okay. And?

This is corporate onboarding documentation dressed up as a training path. Any developer will figure all this out by just clicking around for ten minutes.
