It’s a guided tour of a GUI. It shows you the buttons for building a 'declarative agent', but you won't leave knowing how to build anything that doesn't follow the script.

Who it's for
Internal IT or Microsoft-stack devs testing the waters of Copilot Studio
Who should skip it
Developers looking to build standalone, non-Microsoft agents
Pros
Quick introduction to the terminology of declarative agents
Hands-on exercises follow the click-by-click instructions exactly
Covers the basic workflow: create agent, add knowledge, test prompts
Cons
The exercises are just copy-pasting; there's no real problem-solving
Feels more like a product tour for Copilot Studio than a development course
Doesn't go into any depth on limitations or when to use a different tool
They call it an 'exercise,' but it’s really just copy-pasting text into the right box. There's no problem to solve, no code, no thinking. Point, click, paste. Get a green checkmark, move on.
I get the point. This is the happy path for their 'declarative agent' in Copilot Studio. You upload a document, set a couple of prompts, and suddenly you've 'extended' M365. Fine. But what happens when the knowledge source is a mess? What are the actual performance limits? How do you debug when it gives a garbage answer? The module doesn't touch any of that.
I spent an hour clicking through the UI. Now I know where the buttons are. I can’t say I know how to build a robust agent, though. It’s a map of the dashboard, not a lesson in navigation.
