A solid one-hour product tour of Copilot's capabilities disguised as a project. It's a good way to see the tool in action, but you won't build anything from scratch.

Who it's for
Developers wanting a quick, structured tour of what Copilot can do inside VS with a real data structure.
Who should skip it
Anyone looking to learn how Tries actually work or seeking a real coding challenge.
Pros
Fast, self-contained walkthrough in a live environment.
Shows realistic use cases for Copilot beyond basic autocompletion.
Good demonstration of the 'interpret code' and 'debug with Copilot' features.
Cons
The Trie implementation is already given; you're just prompting for extensions.
Feels more like a product demo than a project.
Little to no actual coding required from the user.
The skeleton code for the Trie is already there. You don't build it. Your job is to follow a script of prompts to get Copilot to explain it, extend it, and fix a bug it deliberately introduced. It's a guided tour, not a building project. The part on interpreting existing code was actually useful; I've used that since on legacy projects. The debugging section was also realistic—ask Copilot to explain an error, then ask for a fix.
It does its job. In an hour, you see how the Copilot Chat and inline features work in a .NET context. But calling it 'building an auto suggest engine' is a stretch. You're prompting an AI that is building an auto suggest engine. It’s a good sandbox if you're deciding whether to pay for the subscription. Just don't expect to walk away a better engineer.
