Reviewer's verdict

This is a readable security checklist, not a hands-on tutorial. Use it to understand the components you'll need to configure, but expect to find the actual implementation details elsewhere.

Best for

Security engineers or compliance officers who need a quick map of Azure AI Foundry security controls.

Watch for

Purely a text-and-diagram overview.

Who it's for

Security engineers or compliance officers who need a quick map of Azure AI Foundry security controls.

Who should skip it

Developers looking for code samples or hands-on labs to implement security features.

Pros

  • Covers all the key security surfaces: identity, secrets, network, logging.
  • Clear pointers to which Azure services to use (Entra ID, Key Vault, Defender).
  • Up-to-date with current Foundry terminology.

Cons

  • Purely a text-and-diagram overview.
  • No sandbox or hands-on practice.
  • The knowledge check is a simple multiple-choice quiz.

It's a product datasheet, not a workshop. Just a series of screenshots and bullet points telling you to use Entra ID, Key Vault, and private networking. Okay, I already knew that. I was hoping for a sandbox to actually configure a project role or try to access a secret from a blocked VNet. There's none of that. It’s just text describing the IAM roles and network isolation options. The diagrams are decent for a team presentation, but you can’t build anything from this. It's a quick read that confirms which Azure services map to which security task inside Foundry, and that's it. It’s basically the security section of the official docs, chopped up into a learning module.
