A useful but shallow overview of automation in Copilot Studio. Good for a quick look at the tooling, but you'll need more to build anything robust.

Who it's for
Students and makers exploring Microsoft's low-code automation tools.
Who should skip it
Developers looking for code-first RPA solutions or deep API integration patterns.
Pros
Quick introduction to automation features in Copilot Studio.
Clear distinction between agent flows and desktop automation.
Hands-on feel without requiring complex setup.
Cons
Feels more like a product tour than a deep technical training.
Assumes you've completed other Copilot Studio paths; context is sometimes missing.
Examples are very simple and don't cover error handling.
This path assumes you’ve done the other Copilot Studio intros, and it tries to connect the dots. The modules on agent flows versus desktop automation are clear, which was helpful. But the whole thing feels like a guided product demo. You follow the steps, click the buttons, and watch a pre-baked success screen.
It shows you *that* it can automate a web task, but not really *how* to debug it when it inevitably fails on a real website. I got through it in an afternoon. It was fine for getting the concepts down, like knowing when to use a flow for an API call versus a UI recording for a legacy app. I just wish it went one level deeper. The labs are too perfect; you don't build anything, you just execute pre-written recipes. It's a quick look at the tool's capabilities, but it doesn't teach you to be an automation developer.
