Who it's for

Architects or admins needing a quick overview of Microsoft's security stack for Copilot.

Who should skip it

Students seeking hands-on labs or general Zero Trust theory.

Pros

  • Very current content, covers the latest product names.
  • Acts as a good index for Microsoft's security features.
  • Free and short, low commitment.

Cons

  • No real hands-on exercises, just reading and knowledge checks.
  • Very focused on Microsoft product names and configurations.
  • Feels more like documentation than a course.

It's all text. Page after page of Microsoft Purview this, Entra ID that. I finished it in about an hour, mostly just clicking through. The knowledge checks are multiple-choice questions you can pass just by re-reading the last paragraph.

So it's a good map of all the security products you're supposed to configure for Copilot. If you're an admin staring at a deployment plan, this probably saves time. But I was trying to learn the 'how,' and this felt like a long list of product names and their functions. There are no labs, no sandbox, nothing to actually *do*. I didn't feel like I learned a skill, more like I memorized a catalog. It's free, so no real loss, but I wouldn't count this as practical experience.
