A decent one-hour primer on what governance tools exist in Azure for AI workloads. It won't make you an expert, but it points you to the right services.

Who it's for
Administrators or AI engineers needing a quick intro to Azure Policy for AI.
Who should skip it
Anyone looking for deep technical implementation or non-Azure solutions.
Pros
Quick overview of Azure governance tools for AI.
Hands-on sandbox exercise is included.
Connects concepts like data lineage and policy guardrails.
Cons
Too high-level, more of a product tour.
Sandbox exercise is very prescriptive and doesn't allow for exploration.
Focus is exclusively on Azure's first-party tools.
The lab just walks you through creating an Azure Policy for allowed VM SKUs in a resource group. It’s useful for seeing the interface, but I finished in ten minutes and felt like I hadn't built anything. You're mostly just clicking and copying pre-written JSON snippets.
I was hoping for more on the data lineage part with Microsoft Purview, but that section was almost entirely text. It describes what data lineage is and why it's important, then just points you to the service. The module feels like an interactive brochure for Azure Policy and Purview. It connects the dots between a few services, which is nice, but it doesn't give you enough depth to actually solve a problem. It's fine for a conceptual overview, but I’m not sure I’d recommend it over just reading the official docs.
