Reviewer's verdict

It’s a corporate pamphlet in the form of a training module. If you need to understand Microsoft’s official stance, it's efficient. If you need to build something, this is not it.

Who it's for

School administrators or corporate trainers needing to check a compliance box.

Who should skip it

Developers or anyone looking for technical implementation details.

Pros

  • Quick to complete.
  • A structured overview of Microsoft's six principles.

Cons

  • No code, no real technical details.
  • Mostly a marketing tour of Microsoft's AI principles and product suite.
  • The 'guided project' is a multiple-choice quiz.

A client mentioned needing a 'responsible AI' statement, and I wanted to see what the corporate standard looked like. This is it. The course is a tour of six principles—fairness, reliability, privacy, etc.—and a map of which Azure services correspond to them. There's no code. No discussion of tradeoffs. The “guided project” at the end is just a quiz asking you to pick the right Microsoft service to solve a hypothetical problem. That’s the level of 'hands-on' we're talking about. Useful, I guess, if your job is to write a PowerPoint slide about responsible AI. Not so useful if your job is to actually implement it. I think I spent more time trying to find the logout button than I did on the final assessment.
