Reviewer's verdict

This is a product catalog for teachers, not an AI course. If you want to see Microsoft's sales pitch for its education tools, this is it. If you want to learn AI, go anywhere else.

Who it's for

K-12 educators curious about Microsoft's AI product suite for classrooms.

Who should skip it

Anyone looking for technical skills, hands-on labs, or general AI concepts.

Pros

  • Quick tour of Microsoft's AI tools for education.
  • Introduces products like Khanmigo and new Minecraft features.
  • No prior knowledge required.

Cons

  • Purely a product catalog; no hands-on activities.
  • Content is a high-level sales pitch for educators, not for learners.
  • No actual AI concepts are taught.

Those screenshots of Learning Accelerators made me realize this whole thing is just a slide deck. There's no lab, no sandbox, not even a fake quiz. You just browse a catalog of Microsoft's own products—Copilot here, Teams there, something for Minecraft. The GitHub Copilot slide is particularly thin; it's a single paragraph telling you it exists, with no demo or trial.

I get that it's for educators, not developers, but it's barely even for them. It's a high-level marketing brief. Feels like an internal PowerPoint presentation that accidentally got published to the Learn platform. It introduces product names, but doesn't teach you how to use them, let alone the AI behind them. I burned an hour clicking 'next' just to see if it would eventually ask me to do something. It never did.
