Who it's for
Educators who are absolute beginners to Copilot and need a quick tour of a specific feature.
Who should skip it
Anyone looking for hands-on practice, technical details, or prompt engineering guidance.
Pros
Quick overview of a niche Copilot feature.
Up-to-date screenshots from June 2026.
Cons
Zero hands-on interaction; it's a read-only product tour.
Claims about 'learning mastery' are unsubstantiated marketing.
Superficial content, no depth on how the prompts work or how to customize them.
Generating a quiz from a source document is something I do all the time, so I jumped right to that unit. It shows a screenshot of Copilot producing a multiple-choice quiz, but that’s it—a screenshot. There's no notebook to run, no prompt to inspect, no discussion of how it handles ambiguity or avoids hallucinating incorrect answers. The entire module follows this pattern: static images demonstrating a feature, then a knowledge check asking if you remember what you saw.
I get the target audience is K-12 educators, not developers, but calling this 'intermediate' is a stretch. It’s a product tour. I was hoping for some principles on crafting effective educational prompts or structuring source material for better outputs. Instead, it presents the tool as a magic button. For a data scientist, this feels like watching a sales demo. It shows the 'what' but completely ignores the 'how' and 'why'.
