This is a product datasheet in disguise. It's a fast way to see what Microsoft *sells* for AI security, but you won't learn how to *do* anything.

Who it's for
Auditors or admins already deep in the Microsoft ecosystem evaluating Purview for AI governance.
Who should skip it
Anyone without an E5 license or looking for hands-on security skills.
Pros
Quick overview of Purview's AI-related features.
Up-to-date with recent product names.
No cost to read through the material.
Cons
Purely a product tour, not a technical tutorial.
Zero hands-on exercises or labs.
Most features shown require expensive Microsoft 365 E5 licenses.
That 'Endpoint DLP Block Paste to AI' screenshot is about as hands-on as this gets. The whole module is a slideshow of Purview features for securing Copilot and other AI tools. It's a fast read, maybe 30 minutes if you skip the marketing blurbs. You learn *that* Purview has sensitivity labels for Copilot prompts and insider risk policies for monitoring AI usage. You don't actually configure any of it.
Every feature seems to point towards a Microsoft 365 E5 license, which isn't exactly accessible for a student lab. It feels like browsing the features list for a very expensive car you can't drive. I was hoping for at least a simulated environment or some PowerShell examples. Instead, it's just a high-level overview. Useful for maybe an IT admin trying to justify a budget, but not for someone trying to learn security principles.
