Who it's for
Developers looking for a quick, official overview of Copilot for M365 extension options using TypeScript.
Who should skip it
Anyone seeking in-depth, production-ready coding examples or a comparison of different extension strategies.
Pros
Official documentation structured as a learning path.
Covers both message extensions and graph connectors.
Up-to-date as of late 2024.
Cons
Extremely high-level; mostly a tour of what's possible.
The message extension and graph connector modules felt identical. Create a scaffold project, point out files, and… that’s it. It shows what the dev kit *can* do, but never builds a non-trivial example. I left with a list of concepts, not a working mental model of how to connect our internal data securely. It’s more of an interactive brochure than a tutorial.
