Reviewer's verdict

This isn't training; it's a sales brochure disguised as a learning module. Read the official GitHub docs instead if you want to learn anything.

Who it's for

Managers or procurement teams needing a sales-deck-level overview

Who should skip it

Developers who want to actually use or configure Copilot

Pros

  • Quick, low-commitment read
  • Centralizes the basic sales pitch for Copilot Business
  • Points to the official docs for getting started

Cons

  • Zero hands-on exercises or code examples
  • Feels like a marketing brochure, not a technical introduction
  • The 'customer stories' are just marketing quotes
  • Final quiz is trivial and doesn't test any real understanding

The 'customer stories' section is where I nearly closed the tab. Just a series of pull quotes from Duolingo and whatnot. It's pure marketing material, not a case study. The whole thing reads like a PowerPoint deck a sales rep would click through before asking for your budget.

They call it an 'Introduction to GitHub Copilot Business,' but it doesn't introduce you to the tool. It introduces you to the *idea* of the tool. Big difference. No editor, no code, no configuration. You just read about what it *could* do. The 'how to get started' part is literally just a link to the real docs. Why not just start there?

I get it. Someone in management needs a link to send around to justify the expense. This module serves that purpose. But for an engineer? It's 25 minutes of reading things you already assume the tool does. 'It converts comments to code.' 'It autofills repetitive code.' We know. That's why we're here. Show me something I don't know. Show me a tricky context-leaking problem. Show me how the 'Business' features prevent my company's code from ending up in the next model update. The final knowledge check was a joke, asking you to recall marketing bullet points.
