A skippable product tour. You learn what the marketing slides say it does, not how to do any of it. Find a hands-on lab instead.

Who it's for
Functional consultants needing a quick overview of Customer Insights.
Who should skip it
Anyone looking to build or use a CDP.
Pros
Quick, high-level introduction to the product's capabilities.
Clear diagrams explaining the data flow architecture.
Covers the latest Copilot features in Customer Insights.
Cons
Zero hands-on interaction; it's a read-only experience.
Feels more like marketing material than a technical introduction.
Doesn't provide a sandbox or trial environment to experiment in.
The architecture diagram showing how Customer Insights unifies data was clean, probably the most useful part of this entire module. But that was about it. The rest felt like reading through a PowerPoint deck someone left on screen. You go through pages of text describing features, watch a few embedded videos of someone else clicking buttons, and then answer a multiple-choice quiz on terminology.
There's no sandbox, no lab, not even a simulated environment. You never touch Dynamics 365. The section on 'Consume customer insights' is literally just a page of text explaining that you *can* use the data in other apps. It's frustrating because the title promises to get you 'started,' but by the end, I was no closer to actually using an AI-powered CDP than I was at the beginning. I understand what it's supposed to do, but I have no idea how to make it do anything. The Copilot demos are slick, but without being able to try it myself, it's just a video.
I get that these short modules are meant to be introductory, but this one doesn't even point you to a trial or a developer environment. It just ends. I spent more time trying to figure out if I missed a lab link than I did on the actual content. It's a product brochure, not a training module.
