Who it's for

Functional consultants or business users inside a Dynamics 365 shop needing a quick product tour.

Who should skip it

Developers looking to build or integrate custom agents.

Pros

  • Quick overview of what Copilot for Finance does inside Outlook and Excel.
  • Shows concrete use cases like summarizing emails and pulling invoice data.
  • Up-to-date with current product features.

Cons

  • Zero hands-on work; it's a read-and-click-next module.
  • Feels more like a sales demo than a technical training.
  • Doesn't cover any APIs, customization, or what to do if it breaks.

It's just screenshots of Outlook. You see how Copilot can draft an email reply summarizing invoices from Dynamics 365. You see it pull customer account details. But you don't *do* any of it. There's no sandbox, no trial environment, no code. You just read about it and click 'Next'. I guess if your job is to decide whether to buy this for your company, this is a decent 90-minute demo. It shows what buttons a user would click.

But they call this an 'intermediate' module. For who? There's no 'agent' to build. No API endpoints to hit. I came from a finance backend role, and I'd call this a feature list, not training. You won't learn how to troubleshoot when the Dynamics data doesn't pull correctly or how to extend its capabilities. It's a slideshow.
