Reviewer's verdict

This is a 25-minute product brochure, not a course. It shows you a few marketing-related prompts for M365 Copilot, but you don't write them or run them yourself. Okay for a quick overview if you're already in the ecosystem, but you won't learn any actual skills.

Who it's for

Absolute beginners who have Microsoft 365 Copilot and want a quick product tour.

Who should skip it

Anyone looking for a tutorial on prompt engineering or transferable marketing skills.

Pros

  • Extremely short and easy to complete.
  • Introduces the absolute basics of what M365 Copilot can do in a marketing context.
  • Recently updated content.

Cons

  • No hands-on practice; it's just reading and watching.
  • The prompts shown are very generic and not particularly insightful.
  • Feels more like an advertisement for M365 Copilot than a real training module.

The stakeholder review section was a video. The content brief section was a video. The end-of-day wrap-up was a video. You don't actually get to try any of the prompts yourself. It just shows you screenshots and clips of someone else using Copilot, then the knowledge check asks if you remember what you just saw.

This isn't a 'how-to' guide; it's a product demo. The prompts are basic, like 'summarize this document' or 'draft an email.' I was hoping for a framework for thinking about prompts, or at least a sandbox to try things out. Instead, it feels like I just read the help docs. At least it was over quickly. I guess it gives you an idea of what the tool is supposed to do, but I didn't 'learn' anything I couldn't have figured out by just opening the app.
