A decent one-hour primer on potential Copilot use cases for a legal team, but don't expect it to teach you how to actually write a good legal prompt. It's more of a 'what's possible' tour.

Who it's for
Product managers or business users wanting a quick overview of how legal teams might use Copilot.
Quickly demonstrates Copilot use cases across a legal workflow.
Uses clear, non-technical language.
Shows how AI can handle routine tasks like summarization and drafting.
Cons
Examples are generic and don't feel like they're from a real legal document.
No interactive sandbox; it's a read-only demo.
Doesn't address the complexities or risks of using AI with sensitive legal data.
The 'Review Contracts' unit uses a sample 'Contoso' agreement that reads more like a blog post than a legal document. It's all very neat, with Copilot summarizing key clauses in perfect bullet points. My own team's contracts are messy, full of tracked changes and ambiguous terms. I would have loved to see Copilot grapple with one of those, but this module sticks to the ideal scenario.
I took this to understand how our legal counterparts might use the tools we're all getting. It's a decent high-level tour. I see the value in asking Copilot to 'draft an email summarizing findings for stakeholders'—that's a universal PM task. But the core legal prompts feel oversimplified. It's a showcase of features, not a training on how to apply them to the chaos of real-world legal work. It gives me ideas, but it doesn't build a skill.
