This isn't a course, it's a glorified product feature announcement. It explains a new feature but teaches nothing. You'll learn more by just using Windows search yourself.

Who it's for
Absolute beginners curious about new Windows 11 search features.
Who should skip it
Anyone looking for technical details, hands-on practice, or API access.
Pros
Extremely short, can be completed in one sitting.
A quick overview of a single new Windows 11 feature.
Mentions AI and natural language queries, which is topical.
Cons
Essentially a product marketing page, not a training module.
No hands-on component or interactive elements.
Content is superficial and could be replaced by a one-minute video.
The 'Knowledge Check' is trivial and doesn't test understanding.
I get buried in files for different classes and projects, so a smarter search is something I'd actually use. This module popped up, promising 'faster insights' with an improved Windows Search, and since it was short, I gave it a try.
The entire thing took maybe 15 minutes to click through. It feels less like a training module and more like a blog post or a product announcement that's been chopped into 'units'. You read a paragraph about how the new search uses AI to understand what you mean, then click next. You read another about how it indexes more things, then click next. There's zero information on the 'how' or 'why' it works, just a superficial 'what' it does.
The 'Apply Scenarios' unit was just a list of examples like 'find the presentation from last month'. It's not a scenario you work through; it's a list of things Microsoft thinks you could do with it. And the knowledge check at the end was so simple it felt pointless. A question like 'Does improved search help productivity?' isn't an assessment, it's a marketing survey question.
I didn't learn how to configure anything, how to optimize indexing, or how the natural language processing actually functions. It's just a passive description of a feature. Honestly, I could have learned the same amount by just opening the Windows search bar and trying it out for two minutes. This isn't a course you 'take', it's an ad you read.
