Reviewer's verdict

A skimmable product brochure, not a real course. It tells you what the buttons are for, but you won't learn how to actually use them effectively.

Who it's for

Absolute beginners who want a quick product tour before a meeting.

Who should skip it

Anyone looking for hands-on practice or prompt engineering skills.

Pros

  • Quick overview of what Copilot is supposed to do in each M365 app.
  • Covers the full suite: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, OneNote.
  • Very short, can be completed during a break.

Cons

  • No hands-on practice; it's just reading about features.
  • Examples are very basic and feel like marketing material.
  • The 'Knowledge Check' is a simple recall quiz, not a skills test.

I don't have a corporate M365 account with Copilot enabled, so I was hoping this would give me some sense of how to use it. But there's no lab, no sandbox, not even a simulated environment. The whole thing is just text explaining what Copilot is *supposed* to do in Word or PowerPoint. The examples are the ideal-case marketing scenarios, like 'draft a proposal,' which look great in demos but never work that smoothly on the first try. I was at least hoping for some clever prompts or techniques, but it's just a feature list. The quiz at the end just asks if you remember the list. I guess I know what the buttons do now, but I still have no idea how to actually work smarter with it.
