A solid, up-to-date product tour of Copilot Studio for non-developers. It shows you what the tool can do, but not necessarily how to design a truly robust conversational agent.

Who it's for
Functional consultants, business analysts, or anyone in the Microsoft ecosystem needing to build simple, guided chatbots without writing code.
Who should skip it
Developers looking for deep API integration, programmatic control, or advanced NLU model tuning.
Pros
Up-to-date content reflecting the recent rebrand from Power Virtual Agents.
Hands-on labs are well-integrated and don't require a separate Azure subscription.
Clear, step-by-step instructions for building a first agent.
Cons
Overly focused on the happy path; doesn't cover complex dialogue management or error handling.
The 'intermediate' label feels generous; it's more of an extended beginner's guide.
Lacks theoretical depth on conversational AI principles.
The rebranding from Power Virtual Agents to Copilot Studio is really the main event here. This path is a good migration guide for your mental model. The labs get you clicking through topic creation and entity extraction in the new UI, which is fine, but it all feels very on-rails. You build a simple FAQ bot, connect it to a website for generative answers, and that’s about it. The April 2025 update timestamp is accurate; screenshots and terms match the current product.
My main issue is the 'intermediate' tag. It doesn’t go much deeper than surface-level configuration. There's no discussion of dialogue state tracking, intent disambiguation, or performance evaluation beyond basic analytics. It's a tool walkthrough—a good one—but don't mistake it for a course on conversational AI design. It shows you the buttons, not the theory.
