Reviewer's verdict

This is a 45-minute ad for a feature. It shows you what the Copilot button does, but you won't walk away knowing how to build or debug an app.

Who it's for

Absolute beginners wanting a quick, hands-on look at the Power Apps Copilot UI.

Who should skip it

Anyone trying to learn Power Apps fundamentals or build a real application.

Pros

  • Quick introduction to the Copilot feature in Power Apps.
  • The sandbox environment is provided, no setup required.
  • Lets you try creating an app from a natural language prompt.

Cons

  • Extremely superficial; it's a product tour, not a course.
  • The exercises are just guided click-throughs.
  • You don't learn any underlying Power Fx or Dataverse concepts.

The first exercise has you type a prompt to build a canvas app for real estate listings. It works, sure, and shows off the text-to-app feature. But you don't really learn *why* it picked certain controls or how the Dataverse table was structured. It just happens. The second exercise is adding the Copilot control to an existing app, which is even simpler—just drag a component onto the screen. I get that this is an intro, but it felt more like a sales deck than a tutorial. The pre-configured sandbox environment is nice since I didn't need my own tenant, but there's just not much substance. You click where they tell you to click, and that’s it. It shows what's possible, but it doesn't actually teach you how to do any of it yourself.
