Reviewer's verdict

A skippable vocabulary list presented as a module. Fine for a quick skim if you're completely new to the tool, but don't expect to learn how to build anything.

Who it's for

Functional consultants needing a quick overview of Copilot Studio's terminology.

Who should skip it

Developers or anyone looking for a hands-on lab.

Pros

  • Quick to complete.
  • Clear definitions of core concepts like entities and variables.
  • Up-to-date with the current Copilot Studio interface.

Cons

  • No real hands-on exercises; it's mostly reading.
  • The knowledge check is a simple vocabulary test.
  • Doesn't go deep enough to be truly useful for building anything complex.

The "Check your knowledge" part at the end is basically a vocab quiz about what an 'entity' is. No labs, no environment to build in, not even a suggestion to try something on your own. You just read about what variables are, how they pass between topics, and then click next. The whole thing is just a text walkthrough with screenshots.

I get it's a short intro module, but I was hoping for at least a tiny sandbox exercise. It feels more like reading a section of the official docs than taking a course. The content itself isn't wrong, it's just presented in the most passive way possible. It gave me keywords to search for better tutorials, but that’s about it. A 5-minute YouTube video would probably accomplish the same thing.
