A skippable marketing overview. If you need to actually learn Dynamics 365, find a course with a sandbox environment. This isn't it.

Who should skip it
Developers, technical learners, or anyone looking for hands-on experience.
Pros
Quick, high-level introduction to the product's features.
Covers the latest Copilot and AI agent capabilities.
Requires no setup or prior knowledge of Dynamics 365.
Cons
Essentially a product marketing page turned into a learning module.
No hands-on labs or interactive elements; it's all reading.
Knowledge check questions are simple recall from the text.
Too high-level to be useful for implementation or development.
My company is exploring a move to Dynamics 365, so my manager suggested I get oriented with some of the intro modules. This was first on my list. The whole thing feels less like a training course and more like a sales deck reformatted into web pages. It took about half an hour to click through, and most of that was just reading about what the platform *can* do, with endless mentions of Copilot, AI agents, and omnichannel support.
There are no labs. No sandbox. You don't configure anything or solve a problem. It's a purely passive experience. The knowledge check at the end just asks you to recall facts from the text you just read, like 'What feature helps with X?' It doesn't test any real understanding.
I get that this is a 'get started' module, but it doesn't get you started with the software itself. It just gets you started with the marketing terminology. I walked away knowing the names of the core components—cases, queues, knowledge base—but I have zero practical sense of how they connect or what it feels like to use the system. It's a product tour without the product. If you just need the buzzwords for a meeting, this might be fine.
