A solid conceptual primer for PMs and functional leads, but it's a product tour, not a training manual. Use it to understand the capabilities before you talk to your tech team.

Who it's for
Functional consultants or admins who need to understand the 'what' and 'why' of D365 knowledge management features before a project.
Who should skip it
Anyone looking for hands-on configuration practice or a step-by-step implementation guide.
Pros
Good overview of the entire knowledge management lifecycle within Dynamics.
Clearly explains the business value of features like versioning and translations.
The section on connecting external search providers is conceptually useful for planning.
Cons
Purely a 'read and click next' experience with no interactive lab.
Assumes significant prior knowledge of the Dynamics 365 admin interface.
Doesn't go deep enough into the 'how' for someone to actually perform the configuration.
That unit on connecting external knowledge sources was interesting. It maps out how you can hook up SharePoint, for instance. But like the rest of this module, it stops right where I need it to start. It tells you *that* you can configure data mapping and filtering, but doesn't actually show you *how* in a way that sticks. You just read a paragraph, stare at a static screenshot of a settings page, and hit 'Continue.'
This is the core problem. The module is a guided tour of the feature list, not a workshop. It’s useful if my goal is to sit in a planning meeting and say, “I know Dynamics handles article versioning and translations, so we should account for that.” It gave me the vocabulary. I get the difference between the knowledge table and the settings now, and why AI-assisted authoring is a thing.
But if my team asked me tomorrow to actually configure a new article template or set up the search logic, I’d be completely lost. I'd just have to go back to the official documentation and hunt for a video. It's the classic Microsoft Learn dilemma: it explains the business value perfectly but keeps the actual controls behind a pane of glass. It's a decent one-hour briefing, but don't expect to leave with any real configuration skills.
