Reviewer's verdict

A guided product demo, not a skill-building course. Fine for a quick look at Power Pages Copilot, but don't expect to learn how to build anything meaningful.

Who it's for

Absolute beginners wanting a quick, guided tour of Copilot in Power Pages.

Who should skip it

Anyone looking to learn actual web development or how to build a production-ready site.

Pros

  • No setup required, the environment is provided.
  • Gives a quick feel for what Power Pages Copilot can do.
  • No prior coding knowledge needed.

Cons

  • Extremely shallow; you're just following clicks and copy-pasting prompts.
  • Doesn't explain the underlying principles of Power Pages or Dataverse.
  • The generated 'real estate' site is a generic template with little practical use.

The home page banner prompt—"luxurious and modern apartments in New York"—generated a surprisingly decent hero image and headline. But that was the high point. From there on, I felt like a human text-pasting machine. Copy the prompt, paste it into Copilot, click 'OK'. There's no thinking involved. You build a two-page 'real estate' site that doesn't feel real at all. The 'update style' step barely changed anything noticeable.

It shows what the tool *can* do, but it doesn't teach you *how* to do it yourself. What if my own prompt is bad? How do I debug the form it created? The module doesn't care. It’s a paint-by-numbers exercise where the numbers are already filled in. It left me wondering what I actually learned, besides the fact that Copilot can generate lorem ipsum with a real estate flavor.
