Reviewer's verdict

This is a 25-minute product tour, not a course. Use it to see what the Copilot interface looks like, then move on to a real project.

Who it's for

First-time Power Automate users curious about Copilot's UI.

Who should skip it

Anyone looking to build a real, non-demo flow.

Pros

  • Quick introduction to the Power Automate Copilot interface.
  • Doesn't require any prior knowledge or setup.
  • Uses a concrete, easy-to-understand scenario (real estate).

Cons

  • Exercise is a fill-in-the-blanks tutorial, not a real build.
  • The 'real estate solution' is just a pretext; you don't build anything substantial.
  • Feels more like an interactive ad for Copilot than a skills lesson.

The first step is copy-pasting their exact prompt into the Copilot text box: 'When a new real estate showing is added to Dataverse, send an email to the agent.' Then it tells you what to click. Next, what to type into another box. I wasn't building a 'real estate solution'; I was just following a recipe that makes the tool look good. It felt less like a lab and more like one of those interactive ads you see on social media. I clicked through the whole thing in under 20 minutes.

It does its job of showing where the buttons are in the new Copilot-enabled editor. It’s useful for exactly that and nothing more. If you've never touched Power Automate, this might be a gentle first step. But don't expect to walk away knowing how to actually design a flow. You just learn how to follow Microsoft's instructions.
