This is a product demo, not a course. Use it to see what Microsoft *wants* Copilot to do, but don't expect to learn how to actually build anything.

Who it's for
Absolute beginners wanting a quick, hands-off demo of Power Apps Copilot.
Who should skip it
Anyone trying to learn how to build or debug a real app.
Pros
Latest UI and features shown (as of mid-2025).
Very fast to complete, doesn't require any prior setup.
Shows what the ideal, error-free Copilot workflow looks like.
Cons
The 'exercise' is just pasting prompts and watching it work; no building.
Doesn't explain the underlying Dataverse tables or app structure.
You don't get to keep the environment or the generated app to experiment with.
Completely breaks down if you deviate from the script even slightly.
This module hinges on a pre-provisioned Dataverse environment that vanishes after you're done. I finished, refreshed the tab to go back and check something in the generated app, and my entire sandbox was gone. All I had left were my screenshots. It's like they built a Potemkin village for a 30-minute tour and then burned it down.
The exercise itself is just copy-pasting a sequence of prompts. Copilot adds a screen. Copilot adds a gallery. Copilot connects the data. My contribution was hitting Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V. There's zero debugging, zero explanation of why the data table is structured a certain way, and zero opportunity to go off-script. I tried changing one of the prompts slightly, just to see what would happen, and the whole thing errored out. Since I couldn't access the backend or see the actual app components, I had no way to fix it other than restarting the module.
I get the point is to show off the magic, but it felt less like learning and more like watching a recorded video with extra steps. I spent more time trying to figure out where my temporary environment went than I did in the actual 'build' process. It's a quick look at the interface, but that's all it is.
