Who it's for
Architects already deep in the Power Platform ecosystem needing a quick overview of reporting options.
Who should skip it
Anyone looking for a hands-on lab or a practical introduction to building AI features.
Pros
Quick, text-based overview of available tools.
Good for mapping out the Power Platform analytics components.
No setup required.
Cons
No hands-on exercises; it's just reading.
Superficial coverage of complex tools like Power BI and AI Builder.
The 'knowledge check' is a simple multiple-choice quiz.
Unit 7, on AI Builder and Copilot, was just two pages of text and a link to other docs. The rest of the module isn't much better. It reads like a high-level product brochure someone turned into a web page. You learn the differences between Power BI reports and paginated reports, what AI Builder can theoretically do, and then click through a quiz that asks if you were paying attention.
There's no lab, no sandbox, no 'try this yourself'. You don't build anything. It's pitched as 'Advanced' for 'Solution Architects', but it doesn't teach you how to architect a solution. It just lists the names of the building blocks. I get that it’s a small piece of a larger path, but even as a standalone unit, it feels hollow. I learned the names of a few services, but I'm no closer to actually using them.
