Reviewer's verdict

This is a product tour disguised as a workshop. It shows you where the buttons are in Copilot Studio but teaches you almost nothing about building a useful agent. Use it for that purpose only.

Who it's for

Absolute beginners wanting a quick, guided tour of the Copilot Studio UI.

Who should skip it

Anyone trying to learn AI concepts or build a non-trivial bot.

Pros

  • Quick intro to the Copilot Studio interface.
  • Requires no coding.
  • Walks you through importing a solution file to get started.

Cons

  • Essentially a product demo, not a real workshop.
  • Doesn't teach any underlying principles.
  • The 'agent' you build is extremely basic and pre-scripted.

That setup file you import at the beginning does all the work. From there, it's just a guided tour of the Copilot Studio interface. You click where the screenshots tell you to click, add one knowledge source (a URL), and then test a pre-canned prompt. The agent works, but I didn't feel like I *built* anything. It’s like assembling IKEA furniture where all the parts are already connected.

There's no explanation of what's happening under the hood. No topics, no entities, no Power Automate flows. Just pointing a bot at a website. I finished it in under 30 minutes, and calling it a 'workshop' is a real stretch. It’s an okay way to see the UI for the first time, but you won't learn bot-building here.
