It’s a guided tour of the Copilot Studio UI, not an engineering course. If your job is to build M365 plugins with the official low-code tools, this is the manual. If you write code for a living, you'll be bored.

Who it's for
Makers or Power Platform developers needing to build declarative plugins.
Who should skip it
Engineers looking for deep API integration or non-Microsoft stacks.
Pros
Official Microsoft curriculum for Copilot Studio plugins.
Hands-on with the latest no-code/low-code interface.
Clear pathway for extending M365 Copilot within its guardrails.
Cons
Very little actual code; mostly GUI-driven.
Feels like a guided product tour for a specific license.
Shallow on error handling and authentication beyond the basics.
The first lab connecting a public API as a 'custom tool' told me everything. You just point and click, mapping JSON fields in a GUI. There’s no real discussion of authentication flows beyond a simple key, no versioning strategy, no handling for when the upstream API is down. It's a happy-path demo.
I get that this is aimed at the 'maker' audience. But calling it a course for 'developers' is a stretch. We spent more time navigating the Studio UI than solving any real problem. For what it costs to get a seat in one of these instructor-led sessions, I expected something that went beyond the public documentation. Instead, it felt like paying someone to read the manual to me. I could have figured this out in an afternoon with a trial license.
