This is a certification-track course, not a builder's workshop. You're paying for the official stamp on how to use a product, which is mostly a new UI on top of existing security data. Unless your employer is paying and demands the cert, you can learn the same things from docs and trial-and-error.

Who it's for
Enterprise IT admins already managing Intune who need the official Copilot sales pitch.
Who should skip it
Independent developers or anyone outside a large org.
Pros
Official curriculum for a new product (Security Copilot).
Covers integration points between Intune and the security suite.
Cons
Instructor-led format is expensive and slow.
Feels more like a product brief than a technical skills course.
Not useful without an active enterprise license for all the tools.
A colleague's company paid for this three-day course, so I got the rundown. The main takeaway is that Security Copilot translates plain-English security questions into KQL queries. Queries you could have written yourself. The instructor basically walks you through the official script for where to click in the new UI, but doesn't get into how it actually works under the hood. It's a product tour.
I really don't get why this needs an instructor. There's no complex setup or deep theory being taught. I can read documentation for a UI walkthrough. This whole thing feels designed for corporate training budgets and certification requirements, not for someone who actually needs to build or fix something. If you're not a full-time Microsoft 365 admin inside a big company, this is completely useless.
