This is a firehose of Microsoft Fabric product knowledge. It's what you take to get the DP-600 cert for your corporate job, not what you take to learn data engineering principles. It gets the job done, but don't expect portable skills.

Who it's for
Data professionals already in the Microsoft ecosystem needing to migrate to Fabric.
Who should skip it
Solo developers or teams looking for a vendor-agnostic stack.
Pros
Comprehensive tour of all Fabric components.
Covers the full lifecycle from data ingestion to governance.
Practical for passing the DP-600 exam.
Cons
Extremely vendor-specific; concepts are tied to Microsoft product names.
Requires significant time and cost investment for an instructor-led format.
The 'AI-ready' part feels more like marketing than a core skill.
Ninety-six hours. Twelve full days. My manager sent me the link for this because the goal wasn't to learn data engineering, it was to learn Fabric. All of it. From lakehouses to eventhouses, notebooks to T-SQL, it’s a product catalog dump presented as a curriculum. We spent more time on naming conventions—is this a dataflow or a pipeline?—than on why you'd pick one pattern over another. You get hands-on, but it's Microsoft's playground with Microsoft's toys. You learn the buttons to push to pass the exam, which I get is the point for a corporate gig. But as a builder, I'd rather spend those 96 hours shipping something. Anything.
