This is tactical training for existing Fabric users, not a strategic 'why AI' course. It's for the person who needs to actually build reports with Copilot next week, not the person deciding if they should.

Who it's for
Data analysts or engineers already committed to the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem who need to get up to speed on the Copilot features.
Who should skip it
Product managers or business users looking for a high-level 'what is Fabric' or 'why should we use it' overview.
Pros
Hands-on labs using Copilot for real data tasks.
Directly addresses how AI assistants fit into the Fabric workflow.
Instructor can answer company-specific questions.
Very up-to-date content.
Cons
Expensive and time-consuming for a feature-focused course.
Assumes you're already sold on Fabric and Power BI.
Less about strategy, more about button-clicking.
Content is very narrow and specific to Microsoft products.
The 'create a report from a prompt' demo was the whole reason I signed up. And it works. You type 'show sales by region,' and a Power BI visual appears. Cool. But then came the other twenty-odd hours. The course assumes you live and breathe Microsoft Fabric. We jumped straight into notebooks and data pipelines with Copilot assisting, but never really discussed when or why you’d choose one tool over another. It felt like learning the cruise control on a specific car model I hadn't even decided to buy yet. As a PM, I wanted the 'what problem does this solve for my team?' angle. Instead, I got a very thorough 'here's how to click the button in our tool.' It's training for the implementer, not the planner.
