A mandatory product onboarding for corporate consultants, not a skill-building course for builders. I wouldn't pay for this out of pocket.

Who it's for
Consultants or platform engineers already inside the Microsoft Dynamics ecosystem.
Who should skip it
Independent developers or anyone looking for a technical deep dive.
Pros
Covers the full admin-level setup for Dynamics 365 Contact Center.
Labs involve configuring real-world scenarios like routing rules and Copilot prompts.
Up-to-date with the latest product features as of mid-2024.
Cons
Extremely expensive for an individual; partner pricing is opaque and high.
Feels more like a product sales pitch than a technical course.
No actual coding; it's all GUI-based configuration and setup.
Material is very specific to the Dynamics 365 platform.
Connecting to a third-party CCaaS is the big reveal. You spend hours clicking through screens to configure channels and routing rules inside Dynamics, only to realize the core telephony is probably still Twilio or Genesys, just with a Microsoft wrapper. The course sells the dream of an 'AI-powered contact center,' but the work is mostly system administration.
Don't get me wrong, the labs are there. You will configure work distribution. You will set up security roles. You will enable Copilot and watch it summarize a fake customer call. It all works. It’s just… dull. There is zero code. Zero APIs to hit from the outside. You are a platform operator, a functional consultant, not an engineer. I kept waiting for the part where we’d build something custom, or integrate a non-standard service. It never came.
This is a certification path for people whose job is to deploy Dynamics 365 for large clients. The training partner model means the price is astronomical for a solo dev. I had to sit through this for a contract gig. It taught me how to use the product's admin panel, and that's about all. Your time is better spent learning the underlying tech directly from the CCaaS providers themselves.
